The Gladstone & District Sports Foundation Trust loves to support locals to follow their dreams. After seeing the success of our local Olympians last year it is great to share the success story of Morgan Mathison.
The Mathison family were heavily involved with Gladstone Hockey with all 4 siblings playing in Junior State and National Teams
In December 2024, Morgan was announced in the 2025 Hockeyroos team and this week her dreams were realised to play in the National Hockey team at an international Tournament in Sydney with Friends and Family their for her Debut.
Morgan is wearing number 3 for Australia at the FIH Pro League in Sydney, February and was a key part of the teams game 1 win over Spain 4 -1.
We wish the Hockeyroos all the best for the tournament and are proud to see one of our Gladstone Athletes performing at the highest level.
