The 2024 National School Futsal Championships were recently held in October at Brisbane’s Nissan Arena. At the competition Jared had the opportunity to play against teams from across Australia, the best players from each state. The competition was tough, but it was great to play the sport on such a high level, making friends and reuniting with friends made at previous competitions.
From the competition, Jared was selected to represent Australia as the U15 Boys futsal goalkeeper in Brazil in 2025. Following last year’s selection it was a goal to be selected for the National team for the second year in a row.

Jared has been playing soccer since the age of 5 and has always had a passion for soccer. When he attended Trinity College Gladstone in 2021, he was introduced to futsal for the first time, and loved it from that first day going on to represent my school and Queensland since 2021, and Australia since 2022.
Jared is inspired by Nick Pope, the Newcastle United Goalkeeper, who is an inspiration due to his young age and outstanding skill and ability and truly stands out as a match-winner. He is also a very humble player, which I really admire. I’m also a great fan of David Beckham. Jared hopes that in the future, he will be part of the senior Australian Men’s Futsal team.
