Fraser was part of the QRSS Maroon Cricket team in the recent National SSA Carnival played in Mackay. They won all of their pool games against Victoria, ACT and NSW2 teams before beating SA in the semi Final to progress into the Grand Final against NSW1. Unfortunately the NSW boys were too good on the day with the Qld Maroon team finishing Runners Up in the Championship.
This is the first time in approx 8 years that School Sports Australia has held a 13 to 15yo National Cricket Championship and included both a boy and girls’ competition.

Fraser’s highlight was Being part of the team that had 12 of the best age cricket players in Qld playing, and while most were from Brisbane metro area, there was also boys from Wide bay and Mackay that Fraser has played with before. It was a great experience to be meet young cricketers from not just Brisbane but also Victoria, NSW, WA, SA and ACT. Fraser has been attending Toowoomba Grammar on a cricket Scholarship and 2 of his best mates from TGS played in the QRSS White team. Another former BITS teammate in Mahli Rea was also there in Mackay playing for the QRSS White team in the schoolgirl’s carnival.

Fraser will be apart of the upcoming Bulls Masters U16 Challenge with the goal of being named in the Qld U17 Development training squad over winter. Playing First Grade for Toombul would be the next stepping stone to potentially being selected for future Qld teams.
