At the National Clubs Carnival – Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Elle-Jaye competed in Level 7 gymnastics. On day one, she achieved some of her highest scores for the year. She performed very well again on the second day of the competition too. The Gladstone Gymnastics level 7 team were placed in the top division (Division A) competing against the top 18 teams in Australia. Unfortunately, they didn’t place in the top 6 this year. Elle-Jaye had a very positive experience and her attendance at this event will benefit her future gymnastics performances.

Elle-Jaye started gymnastics ten years ago as a fun activity for a two-year-old and has received great assistance and mentoring from her coaches Chloe and Rosie. It’s no surprise that her hero is Simone Biles as she is so powerful and talented. She inspires other gymnasts. Also, Georgia Godwin, as Elle-Jaye was fortunate enough to meet her last year at Junior State Championships

Whilst her ultimate gymnastics goal is to achieve level 10, Elle-Jaye will take a few more years, with her next goal is to upgrade some skills in her routines and in twelve months achieve level 8. The Gladstone and District Sports Foundation and Trust wishes all the best as you work towards this goal.
